'Bent Metal Customs' named Lansdale's May Business of the Month

The May winner of the Lansdale Business of the Month award is one that has come up big for car owners up and down the East Coast, and for a new version of a classic borough event.

Bent Metal Customs, located at 545 W. Third St., was named the monthly award winner by Borough Council member Carrie Hawkins Charlton, who said the classic car restoration shop has stepped up to sponsor a revived borough car show next month.

Hatfield man dies after lawn mower falls on him

HATFIELD TWP. >> A Hatfield man suffered fatal injuries while repairing a lawn mower that slipped and fell on him at a home on the 1400 block of West Orvilla Road Thursday afternoon.

“He was trying to fix a part in one of his machines, and I guess he had it jacked up, and didn’t have any support with it, and it slipped off and fell on top of him,” said a family member who asked not to be identified.
