Souderton Area School District student art on display for Youth Art Month

TELFORD >> The Indian Valley Public Library was filled with Souderton Area School District students, family members and friends for the official artist reception March 16, during which students showcased some works from their art classes this school year.

The exhibit, which includes about 450 pieces of artwork, is on display for the entire month of March.

NORRISTOWN >> A former lawyer from Lower Frederick will be under court supervision for about seven years after he admitted to using his work computer at an Upper Gwynedd law firm to search for, view and obtain hundreds of images of child pornography.

George Bock Ditter, 66, of the 200 block of Hendricks Road, was sentenced Monday in Montgomery County Court to 23 months in the county’s intermediate punishment program, the first three months of which must be spent under house arrest while wearing an electronic monitoring device.

Elmwood Park Zoo wants you to vote to name their jaguar cubs

NORRISTOWN >> The Elmwood Park Zoo has narrowed down the name suggestions for their recently-born jaguar cubs, and now it’s your turn to vote for the top contenders.

According to a post on their Facebook page, each vote costs $1 and “all proceeds will benefit the Northern Jaguar Project and their conservation efforts to preserve essential jaguar habitats through the establishment, care, and expansion of a safe-haven sanctuary in northern Mexico and the American Southwest.
