Souderton Dolphins Swim-A-Thon
Thursday July 21, 8:30 am to 11am Souderton Pool Wile and Reliance in Souderton * To donate to our cause contact Coach Dan Yocum at 267-421-3154 * Check out our teams website at http://tcteams.com/dolphins/ or swing by the pool sometime and check it out. * What is a Swim-A-Thon: Our team members go to their friends and family and ask for either flat donations or to sponsor them per lap. If they pledge 25 cents a lap and the swimmer swims 100 laps then they get $25. * About 120 kids on the swimming and diving team * Last year we raised about $9000 in fundraising, hope to do even better this year * Our top fundraiser last year raised over $400 * ALL proceeds go to support the new Souderton Community Pool * We have a community member who will EQUALLY MATCH any donation made! * Last year we practiced inside at SAHS but we are excited to be outdoors again in our new facility * The Souderton Borough gives us so much support with the use of the pool and this is our way of giving back * Pools total cost is about $3 million and the Pool Fundraising Committee has raised about ¾ of their million dollar fundraising goal, which we hope to add to * The Swim-A-Thon will be held Thursday July 21st from 8:30 to 11am |
