Diversionary sanctions for Towamencin cooking school knife thief

NORRISTOWN >> A 28-year-old Quakertown man who confessed to stealing a set of knives and baking implements from a fellow cooking student at the Culinary Arts Institute in Towamencin last year was recently sanctioned after being admitted to a Montgomery County diversionary program.

Mahmoud Gudarzi, of the 2500 block of Daniels Lane – who had been facing a first-degree misdemeanor theft charge – was ordered by a Montgomery County judge to complete 12 hours of community service, write an apology letter to the victim, and pay $1,877.
