Montgomery County Recorder of Deeds announces mobile Veteran discount ID events

NORRISTOWN >> Montgomery County Recorder of Deeds Jeanne Sorg announces six upcoming mobile veterans’ discount identification events across the county.

“I am thrilled to be able to continue to take this program on the road to serve Montgomery County veterans,” Sorg said. “We expanded the mobile veterans’ discount id program in 2016, bringing the program to 30 locations around the county, and provided discount identification cards to over 1300 veterans,” she added.

Community shaken as 17-year-old is charged in brutal Chester County home invasion

EAST BRANDYWINE >> A 17-year-old juvenile has been charged in the home invasion in which an elderly woman was attacked, beaten, bound and stuffed in a storage room for four days, officials announced Thursday.

Chester County District attorney Tom Hogan announced the arrest of the juvenile, who had apparently escaped from Devereux Brandywine, a behavioral facility that is not far from where the victim lived.
