FRANCONIA >> One driver had to be extricated and another was ticketed for careless driving following a three-vehicle accident on Route 113 (Harleysville Pike) about 3:43 p.m. May 15, Franconia Township Police Department said.

John Landmesser, 71, of North Wales, was driving a large landscaping truck south on Route 113 that hit the back of a 2003 Kia Spectra driven by Doris Bailey, who was stopped on Route 113 to make a left turn into Franconia Heritage restaurant, Franconia Township Police Officer Eric Frary said.

NORRISTOWN >> A Lansdale man has lost his bid for a reduced sentence for fatally shooting a fellow parishioner during a disturbance at a Montgomery Township church.

Mark T. Storms, 47, of the 1000 block of Lakeview Drive, will have to serve the 10- to-20-year prison term that was imposed against him last month in full, according to an order filed Tuesday by Montgomery County Judge Gary S.
