EAST BRADFORD >> Shortly after 6:30 p.m. Thursday evening West Chester Fire Companies were called for the report of a person and a deer stuck in the mud of a pond on the 800 block of Frank Road in East Bradford.

Police dispatch reported that the caller attempted to save the deer but the person got stuck and could not get out on their own.

Bill Cosby faces November retrial in Montgomery County on sex assault charges

NORRISTOWN >> Comedian Bill Cosby will be back in a Montgomery County courtroom before Thanksgiving on charges he allegedly sexually assaulted a woman at his Cheltenham mansion.

Judge Steven T. O’Neill on Thursday set Nov. 6 as the day Cosby, who is charged with three felony counts of aggravated indecent assault, is to be back in court.

Road closures coming over next two weeks at Fifth Street, Seventh Street rail crossings in Lansdale

SEPTA and Lansdale Borough have announced work will begin next week on repairs to two rail crossings in town.

Starting Monday, work will take place at the rail crossing on Fifth Street, and the following week work will start where the same rail line crosses Seventh Street, borough officials announced during Wednesday night’s council meeting.

New chief deputy sheriff takes oath in Montgomery County

NORRISTOWN >> Calling it a “bittersweet but glorious day,” Montgomery County’s sheriff honored his outgoing chief deputy and then administered the oath of office to the lieutenant taking over as second-in-command.

“Today is both a very sad and happy day. A very sad day because the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is losing a true asset, a man of great integrity, of fortitude and a consummate law enforcement professional,” Sheriff Sean P.
