Hatfield board: Decision coming Sept. 13 on Cowpath Road rezone request

HATFIELD TWP. >> Residents who live near a much-discussed property on Cowpath Road that is up for a possible change in zoning, mark your calendar.

Township officials have announced that the board’s Sept. 13 meeting will be the night the board formally considers whether to change the zoning of the property at 3515 Cowpath Road, otherwise known as the Walter property.

Plans unveiled, feedback wanted on Hatfield Clemens Park expansion

HATFIELD TWP. >> Plans for a major expansion of Clemens Park in Hatfield have been unveiled, and township officials want to hear what the public thinks.

Hatfield’s commissioners and the public saw the first draft of a newly developed Clemens Park master plan during their July 26 board meeting, and board President Tom Zipfel said the expansion could make one of the township’s top assets even better.

Hatfield board considering tax break for volunteer firefighters

HATFIELD TWP. >> Volunteer firefighters who live in Hatfield Township could soon see a strong sign of appreciation from the township’s commissioners.

“This is the least we can do for the volunteer firefighters of Hatfield. These folks are running into burning buildings for us, to save lives and homes and property, and they really are the unsung heroes of Hatfield,” said commissioners’ President Tom Zipfel.
