Hatfield man admits stealing K from Upper Merion hotel

NORRISTOWN >> A Hatfield man who worked as a front desk clerk at an Upper Merion hotel has admitted to using a fraud scheme to steal more than $7,000 from his employer.

Michael F. Traupman, 39, who listed addresses in the 1200 block of Bethlehem Pike and in the first block of Cowpath Road, was sentenced in Montgomery County Court to time served to 23 months in the county jail after he pleaded guilty to a felony charge of theft by deception in connection with incidents that occurred between August and October 2015 while he worked at the Comfort Inn in Upper Merion.

Guilty plea hearing scheduled in Hatfield assault case

NORRISTOWN >> A 38-year-old Hatfield Township man awaiting trial for allegedly assaulting his ex-lover during a domestic altercation in the summer of 2015 intends to plead guilty in the case later this month, according to court records.

A guilty plea hearing for Tunde Tomiwa Owotutu, who faces one count each of second-degree misdemeanor simple assault and summary harassment, has been scheduled for March 23, records indicate.

Lansdale man sentenced in DUI hit-and-run

NORRISTOWN >> A 30-year-old Lansdale man has been sentenced to jail time and probation after admitting to a 2016 DUI hit-and-run incident in the borough, records indicate.

Devin William Kulp, who was residing on the 600 block of Knoll Drive at the time of the incident last April, appeared in Montgomery County court and pleaded guilty to misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence and accidents involving damage to an attended vehicle, according to court records.
