North Penn board OKs compensation increase for tax collectors

Lansdale >> Eight local tax collectors who help the North Penn School District take in tax revenue will see a slight increase in their compensation starting this year.

North Penn’s school board voted unanimously this week to increase the tax collectors’ compensation for the next four years through 2021.

Readers' Theatre presents radio-type plays at Encore Experiences in Harleysville

LOWER SALFORD >> You won’t see a lot of characters rushing stage right or left at a performance by the Readers’ Theatre at Encore Experiences in Harleysville.

You can hear the action, though, in the voices of the actors seated on the stage.

“It’s like a radio theater,” said Woxall resident Dave Boorse, the group’s director.
