North Wales budget OK'd; tax ordinance will need approval Dec. 26

NORTH WALES >> The 2018 budget for North Wales Borough is now officially on the books, but one more action is required before the borough closes out the year.

Borough council voted unanimously Tuesday to approve a roughly $2 million budget for next year.

“And for the record, taxes did not increase,” said council member Paula Scott.

NORRISTOWN >> After spending more than 20 years as a prosecutor and defense lawyer, Maureen C. Coggins of Upper Hanover has fulfilled another dream to become a district court judge.

Coggins took the oath of office, administered by Montgomery County President Judge Thomas M. DelRicci, during a ceremony at the county courthouse on Wednesday.
