Alumni Watch: Upper Dublin grad Gardner off and running at Ursinus

Ursinus’ Stacey Gardner, an Upper Dublin grad, rushed for two touchdowns in Ursinus College’s 28-21 win over McDaniel Saturday. Gardner rushed for 118 yards on 22 carries, scoring from 11 and 48 yards away. Sophomore quarterback Thomas Garlick, a Quakertown grad, with 158 yards and became the 12th quarterback in program history to pass for 3,000 yards.

Report: Philadelphia region's housing market on way to solid year

After the first nine months of the year, the region’s housing market continues to improve at a slow and steady pace that appears to be stymied by a lack of houses available for sale.

According to Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach Realtors’ HomExpert Market Reports, sales in the greater Philadelphia area, including 12 counties in the Pennsylvania suburbs, southern New Jersey and northern Delaware, increased by 7.

Old Forty Foot Road bridge repairs begin, as more Towamencin bridge projects are on drawing board

TOWAMENCIN >> Monday marked the beginning of a year of work on several bridge projects in and around Towamencin Township.

PennDOT crews have begun work on a project to rebuild a bridge carrying Old Forty Foot Road over a branch of the Skippack Creek, while another project just up the road is still on the drawing board.

Police confirm armed robber shot at King of Prussia Mall

UPPER MERION >> Police have released additional details regarding the officer-involved shooting that occurred in a King of Prussia Mall parking lot around 4 p.m. Sunday.

According to a statement on the Upper Merion Township Police Department’s Facebook page, the man who was shot – whose name has not been released – is a serial robber who held up a female shopper at gunpoint Saturday, in the same parking lot where he was shot, while in the midst of an interstate crime spree.
