Cirque du Soleil will appear in Montgomery County

UPPER MERION >> Cirque du Soleil is coming to Montgomery County in 2018.

That announcement was made Friday afternoon during the Valley Forge Tourism and Convention Board’s annual luncheon – and was met with applause from the luncheon’s nearly 500 guests.

The world-renowned Cirque du Soleil will set up its tent on property just off of Route 422 in Oaks next summer – close to hotels, restaurants and the Route 422 corridor, according to Edward Harris, Valley Forge Tourism and Convention Board chief marketing officer.

Breaking: Shooting reported at King of Prussia Mall

UPPER MERION >> Authorities are investigating a shooting that occurred at the King of Prussia Mall around 4 p.m. Sunday.

The victim, who was reportedly shot multiple times in the area of a Plaza parking lot near North Gulph Road, was transported to an area hospital in unknown condition.

According to multiple sources, the incident was a police-involved shooting, involving a possibly armed suspect.
