LANSDALE >> The new second-in-command of the Lansdale Police Department is a man who has proudly worn the department’s uniform for more than two decades, and can now add a new title to it.
Ryan Devlin was sworn in as the department’s newest lieutenant Wednesday night, and police Chief Michael Trail said he’s glad to have Devlin by his side.
NORRISTOWN >> An 18-year-old man who witnessed the fatal shooting of his Pottstown friend on a Norristown street, and who also was injured during the ambush, testified he couldn’t identify the shooter, even though he previously revealed the shooter’s identity to others.
“I didn’t see his face,” Taye Wynder claimed when he testified in Montgomery County Court on Thursday at the trial of Isaiah “Zay” Freeman, the man accused of being the triggerman during the July 6, 2017, shooting death of 16-year-old Jordan Scott of Pottstown.
LANSDALE >> An annual summer event schedule in Lansdale may have a notable absence in 2018.
Borough Manager John Ernst announced Wednesday night that the Fairmount Fire Company is currently planning not to hold its signature event due to construction downtown.
“I want to let council and the public know that we did receive word earlier this week, officially, from the fire department, that the ‘Under the Lights’ car show this year has been canceled,” Ernst said.
