Proposed North Wales regulations would prohibit chickens on lots smaller than 5,000 square feet

NORTH WALES >> A draft is now out for public review, and North Wales officials want to hear the public’s thoughts as they narrow down a new set of codes concerning chickens and other animals.

“You have to have more than 5,000 square feet to erect a shelter and harbor chickens. We will limit it to residential (zoning), and on lots no less than 5,000 square feet,” said Borough Manager Christine Hart.

Dozens of students were recognized Monday night for an ongoing odyssey – an Odyssey of the Mind.

Students from Odyssey teams were honored with commendations from Montgomery Township’s supervisors as the board congratulated them on their performances at recent local, regional, and state competitions.

Witness: Ambler man illegally purchased gun day before double-murder

NORRISTOWN >> Prosecution witnesses told a jury that a 20-year-old Ambler man illegally purchased a 9 mm handgun a day before he allegedly fatally shot his mother and her boyfriend as they lay in bed.

Charles D. Perry, of Royersford, testified in Montgomery County Court on Tuesday that accused killer Joshua Trunk contacted him on July 30, 2016, and offered to pay $800 if Perry could find him a gun.
